Hi Rupert, I'm far from a MRP expert, but AFAIK this does not exist in OFBiz OOTB. This would be a reverted (or inverted, also breeder) BOM. The only place I have seen something near so far in "OFBiz world" is in Opentaps. But IIRW it's only for returns of MARKETING_PACKAGEs, which makes sense when you want to get all pieces separated back to inventory.
I will soon maybe be in need of such a thing (food industry), and I'd love to have it in OFBiz OOTB. We could draw our inspiration from Opentaps and contribute it... We could even dream of a world which would use this new OFBiz feature in the (hopefully clean) recycling business...
