Florian, It is a good suggestion to wait and and see whether other contributors will provide their insights and concerns before creating a improvement issue in JIRA. As a suggestion, you could wait e.g. the standard minimum delay period of 72h before applying lazy consensus.
And then work from there, with e.g. definitions of requirements and solution direction. That way everybody can be kept on the page.
