Hi all, I've configured OFBiz as the WMS for a 3PL: one shared warehouse fulfilling for several merchants, where the 3PL ships but never invoices or takes payment.
To stop OFBiz from billing, I modeled the order as a custom OrderType FULFILLMENT_ORDER (not SALES_ORDER) and the shipment as FULFIL_SHIPMENT — the auto-invoice/payment ECAs are gated on the sales types, so they never fire. Multi-merchant tenancy is all stock entities: a ProductStore per merchant, stock commingled and told apart by InventoryItem.ownerPartyId. Working demo + full write-up: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/How+to+Run+Apache+OFBiz+as+a+3PL+WMS Does this look right to people who run OFBiz in production — or would you set up a 3PL differently, especially around suppressing order-to-cash and the tenancy model?
