Can you check if derby-10.6.1.0.jar (the version number might be different, but that should be ok) is in the libext dir? If not, I'm not sure why it would be missing, but you can download it from the "Download (JAR)" link on this page: http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.derby/derby/10.6.1.0
