different behaviour mouse/penpad

Hello everyone,
 
if I use a penpad or a touchpad (tried different ones) I noticed a delay in the 
whiteboard while drawing etc. which isn't occuring with the mouse.
If I put the pen on the pad, I have to wait like a second before I can draw, if 
I start immediately some of the line is missing.
Is the mouse treated differently or why is this happening and is there 
something I can do to solve this?
