Hello OpenMeetings,
I am a research student from TSSG,Ireland and is studying primarily to
provide Software Defined Networks(SDN) support to Enterprise
Collaboration/Communication Systems like OpenMeetings.
We intend to use OpenMeetings as the basis of our testbed and research
what all problems it faces with the network and how can it benefit from
the extra configuration and management of network facilitated by SDN.
For instance, defining some high level policies for network control
through which OpenMeeting administrator can configure its allocated
networking resources.
If from the experience of users here, we can get some feedback/input as
to what specific problems are faced by OpenMeetings related to network,
we would be able to work in a more directed manner in improving the
network experience of OpenMeetings.
Having said that, I would be glad to join the development community to
include SDN support in OpenMeetings if there are positive results.
