Hey Dan, The Google Calendar currently only supports a read-only operation, this is a limitation of the library itself. Though, you should be able to see the events in the calendar. You might want to use a CalDAV server which currently provides bidirectional access. You can use something like Yahoo or you could use iCloud as well, which has support (albeit I haven't been able to test it on my account). Or you can just search for other providers of CalDAV as well.
