Just to add a +1 to this, I use FolderSync (the full version) on my
Nexus 4 to do exactly the same thing, I have it watching a couple of
directories, including my camera directory, and it instantly syncs any
changes up to ownCloud (and from there down to the desktop clients).
There are lots of filters and configurable knobs to tweak in the sync
settings.
Within about 10 seconds of taking a photo on my phone, it appears on the
desktop clients. Works beautifully!
