Hello, It is possible to switch between the packages from the official Debian repository and those from the openSUSE build service without having to redo the entire setup of your ownCloud instance. I did this recently because the Debian package was going to be removed from the wheezy-backports and I did not want to upgrade to jessie right now.
To move from the wheezy-backports package to the openSUSE build service package I had to: 1. move all files from /etc/owncloud into /var/www/owncloud/config 2. move all files from /var/lib/owncloud/data into /var/www/owncloud/data 3. adjust the paths in my /var/www/owncloud/config/config.php It should also work the other way around but imho I would stick with the packages from the openSUSE repository. Currently oC in jessie is up to date, but this might change with the release of oC 8. I don't think that the Debian maintainers are going to add this as a regular update for jessie and instead it may end up in the backports repository and just recently I made the experience, that there is not enough man/woman-power for the Debian backports and they where forced to remove that already outdated package from there. :( So, my advice is to remove the jessie package and go back to the "official" package from the openSUSE build service to avoid any issues with an outdated and not anymore updated ownCloud package.
