Well it certainly *says* 3.3.4 when I look at the AddOns details in
Thunderbird. :-)

OK, tried that, still doesn't work but a different error:-
Error code: MODIFICATION FAILED
Description: Status Code: 2147746065, The request cannot be processed
Request Failed: Component returned failure code 0x80040111
