As far as I can tell by a quick look at the code, it tries to contact
www.owncloud.org
so, i replaced http(s)://www.owncloud.org with http(s)://owncloud.org and the
test was ok.

thanks for the info!
Maybe some php restrictions are in effect which prevent this from
succeeding?
no restrictions of any kind!
so .. maybe the redirection of http is treated as an error?
i do this :
curl --trace-ascii owncloud.test --trace-time -o /dev/null
http://www.owncloud.org
and i get this:

Hi,
This message, as far as I know, indicates that your server has no
_outgoing_ internet connection.
I don't have egress filtering on the machine nor on the institution
routers .. so, do you have any idea how is this checking done?
Thank you!
Adrian
Incoming are working fine, otherwise you of course wouldn't be able to
even see that message.
When you are connected to the server e.g. via ssh, try ping
www.owncloud.org or the like to test this.

Randolph

section:
"This server has no working Internet connection."
which is stupid as i am connected to the machine!
Anyone has any idea about this?
Thank you!
Adrian
