We are getting a “Remote driver error: UnsupportedOperationException: Currently not supported” error when querying an hbase table in an EMR 5.4 cluster using the phoenix-4.9.0-HBase-1.2-thin-client.jar.
The error occurs when doing a select on a table that has one or more columns with Array data type. When I remove the Array columns from the select clause, the query runs without error. I did some research on this problem and it seems to be a bug documented in issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CALCITE-1050. We would like to know if this behavior was reported to you before, and if so, what is your recommended workaround or solution.
