the original file was, 871 windows kb and the outfilename.xls was 966!!
hssf doesn't guarantee that it'll write the file back out exactly the
same. What happens is that it reads the data into various structures,
using defaults for values that have been omitted from the source file.
When writing back out, it normally writes out the full form of every
record, even when excel might've cut some corners and assumed some default
values.
That's almost certainly what you're seeing here.
