I thought excel could have only 65536 rows per sheet. To start with, can POI write more than 65536 rows to an excel work sheet? If it does not check this limit on excel and you do manage to write 500000 rows, office might not be able to open the document properly. This is assuming that you are trying to write 500K rows to one sheet. Sent via BlackBerry
