Hi, I am still confused because the attachment you provided is in XSSF format, how did you produce this out of the Clipboard-Data when you state that you work with .xls/Biff8/HSSF formatted data?
POI can read XSSF and HSSF just fine and as long as the data is a full spreadsheet file, it should not matter where it comes from, so you can try the "XML Spreadsheet" format listed. Dominik.
