I want to edit the Permissions for the 'author' role. If an user will login
on my blog and he has the userrole 'author' he only see the Options to
Create&Edit. But no Preferences. Thats good.
But now i want that the user only see the Create&Edit options but only "New
Entry", "Entries" and "File Upload". The other i want to hide. Has somebody
an idea how it works?
Take a look at admin-menu.xml and editor-menu.xml in the WEB-INF. They
determine which menus are show to which user roles. I think you can
simply add the 'admin' role to items you wish to hide from 'author'
users.
However, this stuff is 'undocumented' and could conceivably change in
future releases.
