Thanks for your input. When I said JCA 1.4, I was referring (imprecisely) to
the version that was part of J2EE 1.4; I confused meself when looking at the
specs.

J2EE 1.4 and 1.5 contain JCA 1.5
J2EE 1.3- contain JCA 1.0

By your comments, ServiceMix uses JCA 1.5.
