this doesn't solve my problem... apparently, my problem is that from time to time I accidentally press CTRL + C (instead of CTRL + ALT + V for copying commands in the shell) and that results in closing my shell. In order to solve this I was wondering if I just deactivating the CTRL + C combination at all! Any ideas?
