I know... I think they are afraid of the setup to make the single JVM's well-behaving. After all its usually up to thousands of accounts on one single server! So a JVM using up all the CPU is a horror vision for them. They trust to have more control over php-setups...
Dedicated or virtual-dedicated (linux-vm's on a host-klinux-server) pose the problem for the client to keep the system secured against hackers... Well.
