Some of which used Struts as one of the use cases to prove a pattern exists. :) But, in the end, it is what it is. What we call a mechanism is not as important as whether the mechanism suits a developer's needs. Sometimes JSF will work well for an application. Sometimes it won't. An expert uses the best tool for the job. A journeyman wants one size to fit all. Another example is SQL data mappers verus object relational mappers. Sometimes, iBATIS is the best tool for the job.
