I'm literally going through this exact build process right now. I'm documenting everything I do so it can be redone by myself or another team member. I just did this a month ago, but neglected to document.
The prior build I had the same issue with 9080 vs 8080, and I recall it being a very simple configuration to fix. I thought it was only in one spot, but I believe it's in both console and end-user, s/m/r/[app].properties. I've been distracted with some other project stuff, but I'm ready to install tomcat and deploy my wars. If all goes well, I should have a very easy, step-by-step, to follow and check off. It doesn't hurt to go back and check each step, bit by bit. There is at least one other document, besides quick and dev, to help you along. Francesco may have already cited it (on mobile, away from my resources), but I recall the top of the page has a green bar to call out about ASF committers.
