Hi,

right now, I would not recommend the TextMarker version in the sandbox to end users.

We are still using the old version in active applications here in our department. The UIMA version is working better than the old version on SourceForge, but it is developed too actively and not really covered by documentation.

The projects in the sandbox can be used like the normal plugins projects: There is no update site, but you can export them as deployable plugins. I will move to a maven build process when most of the work is done. There is some documentation in the uima-docbook-textmarker project (needs to be build with maven to get the pdf). However, it is essentially the out-dated and incomplete documentation of the old project and therefore not yet useful for the new implementation here at UIMA.

I am currently working towards a stable version with some useful documentation, but that will take some more time.

Best regards,

Peter

Hi, given the strong activity on Textmarker, and the recent migration into the UIMA project, is it currently usable for "end users"? Is the refactoring done to the point that one can work with the version in the UIMA sandbox?

The Textmarker project in the sandbox doesn't seem to have Maven POMs at this point, and no documentation that I can see...

Thanks,
Jens
