I overlooked that warning. However, I see the same error when I build uimaj first. Here is exactly what I did.
1. svn checkout https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/uima/uimaj/trunk uimaj 2. svn checkout https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/uima/uima-as/trunkuima-as 3. cd uimaj 4. mvn install. [This succeeds.] 5. cd ../uima-as 6. mvn clean install. [This fails with the same error message as before.] Running (6) with and without the "-U" switch has the same effect.
