There have to be a problem on your side here. Try to delete 
com/thoughtworks/xstream in your local repo to ensure you're not affected by 
a broken download.

I never heard of xstream-annotations and is definitely not coming from this 
project.

Well, your artifactId has a typo ... what you refer does really not exist 
;-)
