Is that some requirement to not ship the *.la files? If the package wants them installed and it does not cause us any trouble it just additional work to be done on every component update. As a compromise I can see adding some sort of "devel" facet to the *.la files, since regular Solaris user will never make any use of those. What about leaving the lines in the *.p5m file, just commented out? Or move them to the end of the *.p5m and comment them out there?
