If that's not possible, then maybe (I haven't tried this) you can set:
PKGMOGRIFY_TRANSFORMS =
in your component Makefile (and rebuild/republish).
This worked.
Okay. If you haven't already done so, don't forget to add a good
descriptive comment just above it in the Makefile to describe
what's going on here.
