T-Bird 4 is Alpha'ing as "Miramar", it works alright although it has some issues deleting messages.

They're also changing their development cycle this year and will have VERY accelerated releases...

However, I have no idea what build of AOX I'm running, Arnt does things to my server from time to time, and I don't trust 'aox show build' given that knowledge :)

I have:
- Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 (on Win7, mostly) IMAP
- archiveopteryx 2.13
- Ubuntu Hardy
- PostgreSQL 8.3

Some other family users have MS Mail and use a mixture of POP3 and IMAP. And a couple have iPods but they have been unreliable with this aox.

There was a time when I followed the upgrade path but after waiting for TB3 to settle down I rather lost interest - what I have works OK. Except for one machine where I installed TB3 and it doesn't really get on with this version of aox.

So I think its time to bump everything up, except perhaps for Hardy. Which means I go to PoostgreSQL 8.4, or build my own 9.latest. I'm fairly happy to do that.

Is there a preferred order for doing this - can I bring PostgreSQL or aox up to the latest stable versions in either order?
