I see.
You can bend this into different shapes. Mark Crispin would probably throw
another fit and shout that it's thunderbird's fault for trying to delete in
a non-imapy way. I personally think imap's way to delete is poor, and
thunderbird's way is perhaps better.
What Thunderbird does is hard for aox to handle, though. Although I agree
that mailbox trash/baz on Thursday isn't the same mailbox as the trash/baz
that existed on Wednesday, I don't see how to make the code understand that
(based on the commands Thunderbird sends at least).
Setting undelete-time down to 1 might lessen the pain.
(BTW. I now understand why thunderbird tries to detect that the imap server
is gmail, and why it behaves differently with gmail. Thanks.)
