There's nothing wrong with it on your database (AFAICT). I'm somewhat
uncertain whether your patch will be planned sensibly everywhere and
always. (I'm fairly sure it would not be on 8.3, but that's not terribly
interesting any more.)
I'll either accept your patch or do something like what James wants, but
AFTER Abhijit is done writing the web blah for 3.2.0 (which is tagged,
btw).
