You are missing the following from your applicationContext.xml file:
<bean class="org.appfuse.dao.spring.HibernateExtensionPostProcessor">
<property name="annotatedClasses"> <list>
<value>com.ilionx.tutorial.model.Person</value>
</list>
</property> </bean>
As mentioned by Matt this is currently a bug we are tryin to solve.
