What are the differences in design philosophy between AppFuse and
AppFuse light? Would it be impossible to have done AppFuse Light in java?

I have only found 2 contenders to AppFuse so far - in regard to CMS-like
systems for simple web sites -  and that is JetNuke - based on PHPNuke
- which codebase is very old and has some strange hacks in it and AtLeap
- which is nice though I'd like to see it support Struts 2.
I can't make up my mind if it will be faster to develop a simple CMS in
AtLeap or with AppFuse. For now it's AtLeap as I'm not that apt yet to
develop what I need - Calendar, news, galleries and a booking system
- but in long term I'm looking at AppFuse with Struts 2, Hibernate and
Spring.

I also looked at Riot, but it will take me a long time ot do what I want
with it. If you know all the frameworks in it, it's probably a strong
contender though, though I suspect one could do something even better
with AppFuse.
