I'm not much interested in mixing too many element types on different diagrams, 
so I think there's no short term need for a graphical solution. I'd be very 
happy with the fixing of the prop panels, so that adding a dependency to any 
other element would be possible. I'll open an enhancement  record, so we can 
move the discussion there.
