Did you reload the project and/or restart ArgoUML?  I think one or the other
might be required for the new setting to take effect.

I think a double click click will select the entire text (or add a new
default string), so if you start typing you have to retype the whole thing,
while clicking again will deselect the string and place an insertion cursor
where you clicked allowing you to edit.  I think sometimes the surrounding
figure will get selected instead of exactly what you click on, but I'm not
sure what triggers that behavior.

Yes, if Operation is displayed in the property panel at the bottom, one of
the icons in the little toolbar at the top will allow you to add new
parameters (the icons have tool tip text if you hover over them to help
figure out what's what).  If you want to edit an existing parameter, double
click on it in the Parameters list so that it becomes the target and you'll
be able to change its name, type, direction, etc.

> Can the compartments be resized? Apparently not by dragging them.

Probably not in the way you want.  The compartments are sized automatically
relative to the size of the overall figure.  What effect are you trying to
achieve?  If it's something important, feel free to add an enhancement
request to the issue database.
