Tweety was essentially abandoned when development of Fortress took off. The idea was to make Fortress so simple that Tweety would be unnecessary. At one point I had started a tutorial on Fortress at: http://jadetower.org/spire/projects/apache/avalon/index.html But then Merlin took off, so now I'm uncertain where time should be invested. However, I will admit that our web site documentation needs updating -- something I keep telling myself every night. :) My current line of thought is something along these ideas: - Finish the tutorial on Fortress as a way to introduce new developers to Avalon. Fortress is a good choice due to its simplicity and full support of Avalon 4. - Work with Stephen on a Merlin tutorial. Stephen has been very good at putting together tutorials and keeping the Merlin docs up to date. However, the online tutorial material could probably be expanded. Ultimately I would like revamp much of the web site to make it a little more 'new developer' friendly. There's been a lot of work in component oriented programming and I'd like to see more of this information reflected here at Avalon. For example, contrasts between Avalon and other component frameworks (like picocontainer), comparing Avalon and J2EE, as well as a better roadmap and discussion of emerging ideas in this field. *so much work to do...* :) > My next best suggestion is have a look at either Fortress or Merlin.
