thanks a lot, for the information. But one question comes up for the Doug Lea's Concurrent classes: Under what license are they distrubuted? Couldn't find any hints within the docs in the distribution.
Max
where is some dosumentation about the meta system of fortress. Because if i don't configure it it tries to load classed which i don't recogniize like:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: EDU/oswego/cs/dl/util/concurrent/ReentrantLock
That class belongs to Doug Lea's Concurrent thread control library. You need that to make Fortress work. Here is a list of JARs that are necessary:
Commons-Collections-2.1 (or higher) Doug Lea's Concurrent 1.3.1 (or higher) BCEL 5.1 (or higher--optional)
If you do not have the "big jar" which includes all the Avalon dependencies,
then you also need:
Excalibur Event 1.0.3 or higher Excalibur Lifecycle 1.0 Excalibur Logger (most recent) Excalibur SourceResolve (most recent) Excalibur Instrument Excalibur Instrument Manager (API and IMPL) Avalon Framework 4.1 or higher
BTW. Am i rigth that the meta system replace the role system?
Yes.
