thanks a lot, for the information. But one question comes up for the Doug Lea's Concurrent classes: Under what license are they distrubuted? Couldn't find any hints within the docs in the distribution.
Public domain. They are the basis of the new JSR 166 thread management extensions comming in JDK 1.5, so they are generally speaking top notch. A couple cocooners found an issue with the PooledExecutor class, but there is a patch available.
