One of the committers (Hammet, was it?) have sent a correction to Martin, showing a bit better what Avalon is about. My comment about his article is basically; It is rather brief, and to me it is hard to see where I benefit from various approaches. And there ARE many differences, resulting in cost and benefits, which should be evaluated on a case-to-case basis. One should also understand Martin's philosophical background (light-weight, XP, refactoring, tight-loops, many frequent changes) to fully appreciate the angle he looks at things. As for the content, it wouldn't surprise me if it is partly a feeler for a new book. He is, after all, a fairly successful author.
