the whole javadoc tag area is something that has seen a lot of discussion: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=avalon-dev&w=2&r=1&s=meta&q=b the tags that merlin uses are different from those that fortress uses, which are again different from those that phoenix uses. We know this is "suboptimal", but no-one has made an effort to change these things (yet).
