I think an great example would be to present a small simple non component
based application and then convert that to Avalon component based
application and demonstrate the positive points of the new Avalon based
application and do some sort of comparison.
Most programmers come to Avalon from non-component based background and I think its hard not to compare how Avalon features would fit in the older knowledge base.
What do u think?
That was basically the context for my recent merlin simple web server tutorial submission. I do have a non-avalon, regular Java app of that simple web server laying around somewhere... if I can't find, it is fairly easy to reproduce... Gimme a couple of weeks to escape hell, and I can probably produce the comparison app your thinking about.... unless, of course, someone beats me to the punch (which won't hurt my feelings a bit)....
