Yes I use that. But here's what happens. Most mavenized apache projects have
src/java folder and then a target/classes folder. Maven Eclipse plugin works
good in this scenario.

But if you download Avalon. First you have say Merlin folder under it. Then
you have 

Merlin/activation/api/src/java
Merlin/activation/api/src/java
Merlin/compositon/api/src/java

And so on.

So far as I know, maven Eclipse plugin in its present form would not take
care of such a structure. So you have to go and manually make each of these
src/java folders as your source folders.

And by the time you finish, its end of the day :-))
