_I_ think Merlin is fit to foot the bill :o) You will appreciate the central code repository management, configuration, upcoming JMX, and heaps of nice features in the pipeline. Your main challenge is the component breakdown. The biggest mistake I did was to think "too small", i.e. components were almost at class level, which just gives an impossible situation. And the risk is to go "too big" after being burnt on that.
