Guys,

I think you need to be careful placing too much weight on the Wiki. It 
forces one to do more-or-less text-based documentation and, as you all 
know, Avalon's documentation can not be called "diagram-rich". ;)  To me, 
Wiki should be treated only as a pre-documenation stage/container for hot 
thoughts and ideas before the real thing is going to be produced. People 
should be able to read/download a comprehensive documentation that 
explains concepts using diagrams supported by reasonable good explanation. 
I don't think you will be able to get away with old email and Wiki, most 
users are not going to buy this.

Don't think it was a joke (knowing Leo's thoughts about wiki's).  In fact,
it's a decent idea that many other open source projects (not necessarily
here in the ASF) have used.

They can be reworked and republished (this could perhaps be automated) or
the wiki would be improved to the point that there's no reason to 
republish.

One example of a project which uses it's wiki well is the Keel Framework:
