Did anybody else have this problem?

I don't understand. It is downloaded correctly, no? (Otherwise, you 
couldn't even open it in WinZip.) What writes to the cache after the 
download - MSIE or WinZip? Why?

What happens with an empty cache and directly (the first time) using 
Save Target As...?

This is wrong. The file is called 
<http://www.beonex.de/download/communicator/0.6/beonex-0.6-4-pre-win32-installer.zip.sig>.
 
This might be due to the buggy server, which reports application/zip as 
MIMEtype for that file. Will contact the ISP, but I don't have much 
hope. (It's a Netscape Enterprise server on Solrais BTW.)
