Hi Ben

Thank you for your reply. I try to explain it clearer, even my english is
terrible like that ( if it will be nearly impossible to explain it there is
may an other way beside this group in german language ?).
My first installation was mozilla M13 ( i think ). I deleted it. The old moz
profile stayed preserved. Then I installed netscape pre2 6, it used the old
moz profile. I changed it to the new german ns6, and after that I installed
beonex, wich uses the same directory and same files ( I think, it must be
like that, because in the folder users50 under mozilla
[C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\XXXXXX\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla\Users50\ggaussling\hpXXX
XX.slt] there are all my emails. They are not deleted!).
Netscape 6 now comes with the same behavior: It seems to me they both don't
remember their profile (-folder ). Probably the mailnewsstartup-crashes are
deleted some registryentries or configurationfile-entrys of mozilla. Now
mozilla don't know no more about the folder ( see path above ).
Under Bearbeiten>Mail/News Account Einstellungen there are no entrys.
The Mail-folder got a size of 38 MB (!). I've subscribed three big
mailinglists. Maybe that's the reason?
Sometimes my win98 explorer crashes if he wants to copy or write files (A
possible reason? It maybe destroyed a beonexfile when beonex wanted to save
the changes to it, using the explorer functions?).

My question: How can I make beonex and ns6 remember their profile-folder.
It starts up direktly without launching the profilemanager. After Launching
it will create a first profile for mails. How launching the profilemanager?

Thank you for any response.

Gerhard
