I have suggested that a friend try Beonex for herself and her family.
They are looking for a substitute for AOL. But they had a question
about how they would know if mail is received while they are working
on the 'net. I can't really answer them, because I use The Bat! as my
primary email program.

1. Once a person starts the Beonex browser, no mail is retrieved
unless the user manually starts the email module and clicks to
retrieve messages, correct?

2. Once that process is begun and the program starts downloading
periodically, is there any alert--noticeable while within the
browser--when mail is received?
