I have successfully configured/customized the filters biomart in 0.5 but I am struggling to find how to do the same in Biomart 0.8.
For example for biomart 0.7 we have page 48 of the user-docs pdf that clearly describes and illustrates the create a drop down list filter, a multi-select drop down list filter and so on. Where can I find similar information for Biomart 0.8, I have been looking at the "Biomart 0.8 User Manual release candidate 6 May, 2011" but seem not to find these details. At the moment (in Biomart 0.8rc6) I seem to only succeed converting an ordinary filter to a file upload control by simply selecting "upload" value to the "type" property in the "MartConfigurator Version 0.8". But I when I provide "singleSelect" to the "type" property then start the server, I am presented with a disabled control (in the web browser for the filter I did make the change to) and the control displays "No Data". I am sure the underlying table field pointed to by this control does have data as I can successfully provide and filter the results based on some value I provide to this control before I attempted to change it's type to a drop down list. So what at the fields in the MartConfigurator do I need to modify to successfully have other types of controls such as the drop down list and so on.
