For a while I've used the BioMart registry to find the current version of ENSEMBL used in the ENSEMBL BioMart (as I found no way of getting this directly from the ENSEMBL BioMart...). So I've used the following link: http://www.biomart.org/biomart/martservice?type=registry and looked for the line: '<MartURLLocation database="ensembl_mart_64" ...' However, this registry does not seem to be updated? As ENSEMBL version 65 has been out for a couple of weeks now and the link still refers to version 64... My question is therefore how and when the BioMart registry is updated? And is there perhaps a better way of finding the ENSEMBL version used in the ENSEMBL BioMart? Thanks for any help.
