Clearly it isnt supported then - at least not through Martconfigurator.
Something for the TODO list in the near future, i agree that its definitely a nice feature that needs to be implemeneted.

As far as I can tell, in the "Filter Dropdown Dialog" popup, when you add a new item, the value of the item is also what is displayed on the web page. I was wondering if the value that is displayed could be associated with a different internal value. For instance for boolean filter, it is displayed on the page "only" or "excluded". But internally, those correspond to 0 and 1.
