I have a question about drop down attribute filters in version 7, and in
particular my question pertains to the UniProt Biomart. If a user tries
using the Species filters a drop down list of Complete Proteomes
appears. Below are the settings for the Complete Proteomes filter:
internalName: proteome_name
displayName: Complete Proteome
field: proteome_name
tableConstraint: main
key: dbentry_id_key
type: drop_down_basic_filter
qualifier: =
legal_qualifiers: =
displayType: text
multipleValues: 1
The first question I have, is it possible to alphabetize the list of
values in the drop down?
Secondly, the values in the drop down aren't consistent with what is in
the database. I believe that since the value in the drop down isn't
consistent with the database value is isn't returning the correct results.
For example:
Drop down Displays: Schizosaccharomyces pombe
Database value: Schizosaccharomyces pombe (strain 972 / ATCC 24843)
Results retrieved = 0 when it should return 5090 records.
Any help would be appreciated.
