You can add any library you like to the LIBS variable in configuration
file. See eg repos/simfactory2/mdb/optionlists/bluewaters-gnu.cfg which
is used on Blue Waters for the GNU compiler.

I am not quite sure I understand. Are you asking on how to make Cactus
find those libraries or how to avoid Cactus referring to them at all?
